Intraoral Camera

An intraoral camera is usually used as a diagnostic and communication tool. It is a small pen-like hand piece with a built-in light source and integrated camera capable of displaying video and capturing images on a monitor.

How is the intraoral camera useful?

  • Can display high quality, magnified pictures, to help patients understand the current state of their oral health and make informed decisions;
  • Patients are given the opportunity to be more involved in their dental care;
  • Photos can be attached with insurance claims to speed up approval.
